Obec vznikla v miestach osídlenia z mladšej doby bronzovej koncom 13. storočia.
Ranogotický ev. a. v. kostol s románskymi prvkami pochádza z 13. storočia. Pôvodne jednoloďová stavba s prestavanou západnou vežou a s rovným záverom presbytéria. V interiéri sa nachádzajú vzácne gotické nástenné maľby. Celú výzdobu kostola môžeme jednoznačne pripísať dielni Majstra ochtinského presbytéria a datovať do obdobia šesťdesiatych až osemdesiatych rokov. 14. storočia.
The
village was founded on a spot where the settlements from the early Bronze Age
used to be.
Lutheran church built in early Gothic style has Romanesque elements from the 13th Century. It originally had only one nave. The western tower is rebuilt nowadays and presbytery has a flat end. There are precious Gothic murals in the interior. The entire decoration of the church was made by the workshop of Master of Presbytery from Ochtiná from 1360-1380.
